Amy Goodman is a well-known American journalist and author who is largely regarded as one of the country's most influential media figures. She is most known for hosting and executive producing "Democracy Now!", a daily radio and television news show broadcast throughout the world.
She is also noted for co-writing with Denis Moynihan a syndicated weekly column for which she received the James Aronson Award in 2007. She has also written several excellent publications, including "Breaking the Sound Barrier" and "Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times."
