Amy Carter is an American political activist best known for being the only daughter of the 39th President of the United States Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn Carter. She is considered one of the most famous American first daughters in recent history.
Family Life
She grew up with three older brothers, including John William "Jack". In 1996, she got married to James Gregory Wentzel. The marriage produced her only child, a son named Hugo James in 1999.
Trivia
She attended Brown University but was dismissed because of her weak academic performance.
Throughout her life, she has been arrested multiple times for her political protests. For example, in 1986, she and other activists, including Abbie Hoffman were arrested at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for demonstrating against CIA campus recruiting.
