Early Life
Born in Ontario, Canada, Alyssa Reid developed a love for music at a very young age. She wrote and sang her first original song at the age of 7. She then went to the St. Thomas School of Performing Arts for her high school and attended the Chinguacousy Secondary School. Reid graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in Environmental Studies.
Career
Reid made her first debut in 2010 with a hit single, "Alone Again", which did immensely well and set the precedent for a successful career. She released other Billboard-worthy singles such as "The Game" and "Don’t Call Me". The famous Canadian singer-songwriter has worked with major labels such as Wax, Music Canada, and Ultra Records.
Award
She won the “Pop/Rock Music Award” for the song "Alone Again" at the SOCAN Urban Music Award in 2012.
