About Alkaline
Alkaline is a popular Jamaican dancehall artiste. He is well-known for his aggressive and bold lyrics. He became a popular personality after releasing a series of hit songs including “Champion Boy”, “Things Take Time”, and “Ride On Me (Remix)”. His popularity rose after releasing his debut album, “New Level Unlocked”, in 2016.
His music career started in 2011 when he was only 16 years old and in High School. During that year, he released his first single, “Walk With You”. He started enjoying some success in his work and released over 55 songs between 2013 and 2017.
Personal Life
Known in private life as Earlan Bartley, Alkaline was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Earl and Sharmian Bartley. His sister, Kimona, is so far the only member of his siblings known to the public.
He schooled at the Ardenne High School in his native land. He obtained his Media and Communication training at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
Achievements
His album, “New Level Unlocked”, made him the first dancehall artiste to have an album that peaked at the summit of Billboard’s Reggae Album Chart for five years. It was selected by Billboard as the third best in their “10 Best Reggae Albums of 2016”.
The dancehall artiste received a nomination for the Best Reggae Act at the 2016 MOBO Awards.

His stage name, Alkaline, was given to him by his sister.
