About Ali B
Ali B is a Dutch rapper who is recognized as one of the foremost hip-hop artists in his part of the world. With his musical identity being set in the years since he dropped his first single, “Waar Gatt Dit Heen?” in 2003, he has also become a television host in addition to venturing into acting.
In 2006 he joined Akon on a remix of the rapper’s international hit “Ghetto”.
Family Life
In 2006 he married a lady named Breghje Kommers, thus making him brother-in-law with international footballer Able Tamata.
Achievements
His most-successful single has arguably been “What Zou Je Doen" (2004) along with Marco Borsato, as the track topped both the Dutch Top 40 and Netherlands’ Single Top 100.
From 2011 to 2016 he hosted his award-winning music-based television show called “Ali B op Volle Toeren” (tr. “Ali B at Full Speed”).
He has also won a number of awards himself, including a MOBO Award in 2004 for Best Dutch Urban Act and TMF Awards in 2005 and 2006, respectively for Best Newcomer and Best Urban Act.
