About Alexandre Burrows
Canadian retired ice hockey player Alexandre Burrows played as a professional for almost two decades (2002-2018). He is recognized for his exceptional promotion from the EHCL to the National Hockey League (NHL), having previously gone undrafted in the league.
In 2006, he made his NHL debut for the Vancouver Canucks, for which he would play until 2017. He ended his career after a stint with the Ottawa Senators from 2017 to 2018.
Family Life
He is the son of Carole and Rodney Burrows. He has been married to Nancy Roy since July 2010. They welcomed their third child and only son in 2015.
Achievements
He won the Canucks’ “Most Exciting Player Award” in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He was inducted into the Vancouver Canucks Ring of Honor in 2019.
Trivia
He started a coaching career in the American Hockey League in 2018 and moved to the NHL in 2021 as the Montreal Canadiens’ assistant coach.
