About Alan Watts
Alan Watts was a philosopher and writer best known as an interpreter of Zen Buddhism and Eastern thought and philosophy for the West. During his lifetime, he wrote over two dozen books and articles. His most famous books on Buddhism include The Way of Zen and Psychotherapy East and West.
Personal Life
He was married three times. His first marriage was to Eleanor Everett from 1938 to 1949. The marriage produced two children. From 1950 to the early sixties he was married to Dorothy DeWitt and fathered five children with her. His last marriage was to Jane Yates King in 1964.
Trivia
He was once an Episcopal priest in the mid 1940s.
