About Alan Pardew
Alan Pardew is a former English soccer player who has gained fame as a coach. During his playing days, he featured for some prominent teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, and Charlton Athletic. In 1990, he helped Crystal Palace to reach the final of the FA Cup.
After announcing his retirement in the late 1990s, Pardew began working as a coach. He started as a reserve-team trainer of Reading FC before joining the senior team as a caretaker manager in 1998. Some well-known soccer teams that he has coached are West Ham United, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace.
