Career
Davies first did stand-up comedy in the late '80s. He has toured extensively doing stand-up comedy, and one of his most popular recording of his stand-up is Alan Davies: Live at the Lyric. In 1997, he made his acting debut in the popular mystery crime drama series Jonathan Creek. Alan Davies is also known for being a permanent panelist on the BBC quiz show QI, where contestants are asked unusual questions and rewarded for interesting answers.

Alan Davies is married to Katie Maskell, and they have three children.
