About Al Jarreau
Alwin Lopez Jarreau, professionally known as Al Jarreau was a legendary African-American musician and jazz singer who hailed from a family of great musicians. He holds the distinction of being the first vocalist in history to win Grammy Awards in three separate genres - jazz, R&B, and pop.
He is best remembered for his contribution to the charity song "We Are the World" and his album “Breakin' Away”. Following his success, he became widely recognized as one of the greatest singers of his time with his originality and amazing versatility. His other well-known albums include “Look to the Rainbow”, "High Crime", "Heaven and Earth", and "Accentuate the Positive".

He married Susan Player from 1977 until 2011 and Phyllis Hall between 1964 and 1968.
